New Board Policy on Use of District Network and Computers

The last strategic plan for technology was written in 2000. In the life span of computer technology, those four calendar years are about 2.5 generations ago. A lot has happened in the intervening years: new technology has come on the scene, we have faced (and will continue to face) some difficult budgetary times, and our thoughts about how technology can help us do our work have probably changed as well. For all these reasons, ETAC is in the beginning stages of creating a new technology strategic plan.

This plan will be most effective with widespread input from throughout the district. For this reason, ETAC encourages input from all Foothill-De Anza community members, including students, faculty, staff and administrators. Each ETAC member has also taken the responsibility of engaging the constituency groups they represent by informing them regularly of the planning process and development of the plan.

ETAC encourages all interested individuals to take part in the process and take the opportunity for you to have a direct impact on how technology will be used in the district. If you would like to play a role in the planning process, contact Pam Eberhardt at eberhardtpam@fhda.edu or by calling extension 6119.
