Discussion Groupings

The Instructional Design Intensive has almost fifty participants. In order to facilitate discussion and maximize peer-to-peer and moderator-to-peer interaction, participants have been divided into five"Conferences" (areas or groups within the DC Forum discussion tool). Each Conference has its own moderator.

The moderators for this course are:

Using DC Forums

All your postings of assignments and discussion should be made to the Conference folder of your group.

For this course, DC Forum has been divided into six Conferences, one for each of the five moderators, and one open discussion for all the groups. You will submit assignments and participate in the discussion within your assigned group or Conference.

Seven Forums exist within each moderated Conference — one for each Topic. To submit the assignment or participate in the discussion for any Topic, enter the Forum for that Topic. An example path:

Cindy Vinson (Conference) -> 3. Goals and Objectives (Forum)

Each Forum has at least two places to post: one marked Assignment, the other Discussion. The Assignment should be posted to the former, and any Discussion to the latter.

Unless you are making an original posting (not submitting an assignment or replying to an existing discussion posting), please participate by using the Reply link rather than the Post link. This will help thread the discussion so that it will be easier to follow.
