Objectives should describe what students will have done when they complete the lesson.
Verbs should be used that reflect different cognitive levels within BloomÕs taxonomy. At least one objective should fall into categories three through six: (3) Application, (4) Analysis, (5) Synthesis, (6) Evaluation.
Objectives should describe "to what degree" or "how much" or "how well" a student must demonstrate the skill or knowledge.
The most exciting part of the skill you are teaching should somehow be incorporated into your goals and objectives.
You should have no more than seven objectives in your lesson.
Compare your goals and objectives with those of courses similar to yours. What can be improved in the other courses' goals and objectives? Do your goals and objectives need revision?
