Goals:

  • Become familiar with the characteristics, types, and motifs of traditional fantasy.

  • Recognize how folktales reflect the oral traditions and cultures of the countries represented.


Enduring Understanding:

Folktales from different cultures have common themes which reflect the shared needs and desires of people around the world. However, these themes take on different forms in different cultures, and these represent the rich diversity of the countries they represent.
